Beat Capital Partners, a prominent long-duration investor specialising in the insurance industry, has unveiled its latest venture, RedRiff Agency Limited.

beat-capital-partners-logoRedRiff will function as a dedicated Accident & Health (A&H) underwriter, offering comprehensive coverage across a spectrum of specialised A&H insurance and reinsurance.

The operations of RedRiff will be conducted through a Lloyd’s consortium, spearheaded by Beat Syndicate 4242.

The onset of underwriting activities is scheduled for the first quarter of 2024, with the leadership of the newly appointed CEO, Peter Wilkins.

With over 35 years of experience in the A&H sector, Wilkins most recently served as QBE Re’s Global Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO), following an illustrious 18-year tenure as its Head of Specialty.

His extensive background includes leading the A&H account for QBE Syndicate 566 and spending 13 years as a personal accident underwriter prior to joining QBE.

Expressing his enthusiasm for this new venture, Wilkins stated, “I am delighted to be working with Beat to establish a new business. At a time when we are seeing strong conditions in the A&H market the challenge of establishing a new competitor is an exciting prospect and, with the backing of Beat, I’m confident that we won’t be considered a new entrant for very long.”

John Cavanagh, Chairman of Beat, commented on the partnership, saying, “There are very few carriers who can lay claim to a market-leading underwriter with the experience of someone like Peter. His expertise and reputation exemplify Beat’s approach to business, talent, and providing the best solutions for our clients; we are thrilled to partner with him and excited for the prospects of RedRiff.”
