Joining from Liberty Specialty, Amy Ing has been appointed to Beazley’s Incubation Underwriting team, which focuses on discovering, designing and underwriting breakthrough new solutions and partnerships.
Since its formation in 2020 the team has developed and collaborated on a range of new solutions, including Beazley’s Reputational Risk insurance policy, Assureful for usage-based liability insurance, and Arbol which uses parametric technology to trigger payment of claims based on specific weather conditions.
Ing will also remain as co-chair of the Lloyd’s Product Launchpad, which enables underwriters across the London Market to collaborate and develop game-changing risk management products at pace
In her new role, she will be reporting to Neil Kempston, Head of Incubation Underwriting, who commented: “We are pleased that Amy has joined the team at such an important time for product innovation.
“The need for novel and specialist insurance solutions to support emerging technologies and economic growth or to address challenges such as climate change has never been greater.”
Ing joins Beazley after 12 years at Liberty Specialty Markets, where she was a Delegated Authority Underwriter and played a key role in innovation and new product development.
“I have long been impressed by Beazley’s strength in product innovation and track-record of developing solutions that tackle the biggest challenges society faces today. I am excited to be joining Beazley at this key juncture and look forward to working with the team,” Ing said.
