Specialty insurer Beazley has announced the addition of four new underwriters within its cyber & executive risk (CyEx) unit as it looks to grow the Chicago-based operation.
Beazley’s CyEx division was formed 18 months ago via the combination of the company’s cyber & tech team and executive risk team, including D&O, employment practices liability (EPL) and M&A insurance.
In April of this year, the insurer announced that Bethany Greenwood would be taking over as Head of CyEx from June 2020, and has now added the expertise of four new underwriters to support growth across the unit.
Jon Perry and Megan Feyereisen both join as executive risk underwriters, while Brett Kreiter and Rich Michaels will underwrite cyber and technology errors & omissions (E&O).
Perry arrives at Beazley from Allied World, where he served as a public D&O underwriter in the Midwest for six years.
Feyereisen joins Beazley from insurer and reinsurer Hiscox, where she most recently led the Midwest cyber & executive risk team of underwriters.
In addition to underwriting cyber and E&O, Kreiter is also set to serve as regional manager of Beazley’s Midwest team, with responsibility for expanding its regional footprint. He joins the firm from Zurich where his roles included head of the US middle market.
Lastly, Michaels joins from Allianz where he most recently served as lead cyber and E&O underwriter for the Midwest and South.
