Beazley’s Chief Underwriting Officer Neil Maidment to retire

Beazley has announced that Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) Neil Maidment will be retiring at the end of this year and is due to be succeeded by Adrian Cox, who has been running Beazley specialty lines, since 2008.

Beazley logo Maidment has been with the company since 1990 and has served as CUO for the past 10 years, he will step down from the board on 31st December, 2018.

Beazley said: “We are immensely grateful to Neil for his many contributions to the company, including his skill and dedication in guiding the development of Beazley’s well-balanced underwriting portfolio. We wish him well for the future.”

Maidment has also been a member of the Council of Lloyd’s since 2016 and became Chair of the London Market Association in 2015.
