Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI), the insurance arm of Warren Buffett’s global insurance and reinsurance company, has announced the appointments of Sanjay Godhwani and David Bresnahan to new executive leadership roles.
Godhwani has been named President, North America Region, while Bresnahan will take on the role of Global Chief Operating Officer.
In his new role, Godhwani will be responsible for all North America Region underwriting and underwriting support groups, customer & broker engagement, as well as BHSI’s Global Catastrophe Engineering & Analytics group.
He brings 25 years of industry experience to his position, and is based in Boston.
Bresnahan, meanwhile, will oversee real estate and administration, finance, audit, information technology and operations throughout BHSI’s global platform.
He has more than three decades of insurance industry experience and is also based in Boston.
