BHSI launches new casualty insurance policies for Swiss corporate market

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, the commercial insurance arm of Berkshire Hathaway, has launched two new casualty insurance products in Switzerland.

berkshire-hathaway-specialty-insurance-logo-newThe company said the offerings include a multinational policy and a domestic policy designed for large corporates and upper middle market commercial and industrial businesses operating in the Swiss market.

Te policies have been developed to offer flexible coverage options based on market standards, with wording intended to be clear and easy to understand. The company added that multinational clients can also access local policy support across more than 178 countries.

“Swiss domestic and international companies are facing an ever-challenging risk landscape. With our new products, we aim to offer targeted and tailored solutions,” commented Pascal Carrer, Head of Casualty at BHSI Switzerland.

According to BHSI, the introduction of the new casualty products represents a further step in strengthening the company’s lead underwriting capabilities in Switzerland. The insurer said the launch underlines its focus on supporting clients with long-term solutions for increasingly complex risks.

“These new casualty policies mark the next step in building out our lead product capabilities in Switzerland. The launch reflects our commitment to providing customers with long-term solutions for complex risks, backed by our disciplined underwriting, financial strength and CLAIMS IS OUR PRODUCT approach, which aims at achieving a positive outcome for all parties involved,” added Franco Masciovecchio, Country Manager, Switzerland, BHSI.

BHSI’s operations in Switzerland also include property damage and business interruption insurance, Executive First D&O Liability Insurance for commercial and industrial organisations, financial institutions and investment managers, alongside multinational insurance programmes.
