Bermuda International Long Term Insurers and Reinsurers (BILTIR), an association representing Bermuda-based long-term insurers and reinsurers, has announced the appointment of Todd Coslow as Director of Policy & Regulation.

BILTIR logoIn his new role, Coslow will lead BILTIR’s engagement on regulatory and legislative matters affecting Bermuda’s long-term re/insurance sector.

He will work closely with member companies, regulators, and key stakeholders to support the association’s policy engagement, strengthen industry collaboration, and advance its advocacy priorities.

Coslow will also support BILTIR’s member committees and working groups, provide analysis and updates on emerging policy developments, and help facilitate dialogue between member companies and regulatory bodies.

He brings more than two decades of experience across insurance, financial services regulation, risk management, and government affairs.

Most recently, he served as Founder and Managing Consultant at Cosmo Creek Enterprises LLC, where he advised banking, insurance, and fintech clients on governance, operational resilience, and regulatory risk.

Prior to that, he spent 13 years at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, leading supervisory and policy initiatives focused on cybersecurity, third-party services, and compliance.

Coslow also held several senior leadership roles at the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), including Chair of the Operational Resilience Working Group and Co-Lead of the Fintech Forum. In those positions, he worked with regulators and policymakers across international jurisdictions on supervisory frameworks and industry risk management practices.

Suzanne Williams, CEO of BILTIR, said, “As regulatory and policy discussions continue to evolve, our Director of Policy & Regulation ensures BILTIR remains actively engaged on issues affecting the long-term sector.

“Todd’s experience navigating complex global regulatory issues, combined with his background working across supervisory authorities and the (re)insurance industry, will further strengthen our ability to represent our members.”

Coslow commented, “Bermuda plays a significant role in the global industry, and thoughtful policy engagement on behalf of our members and stakeholders is crucial to the jurisdiction’s continued development.

“BILTIR champions the interests of Bermuda’s long term (re)insurance market, and I am excited to be able to contribute to the team’s work.”
