Bibbings added: “I’m excited to have been elected President by the executive of BIMA and I look forward to continuing the work initiated by our past president. BIMA works diligently to ensure Bermuda maintains its position as the preeminent domicile for captives.

“It’s also important that we provide education to attract young Bermudians to our industry to ensure Bermuda’s continued success. I look forward to working with government, the regulator and various industry groups to guarantee a strong future for the Bermuda captive insurance industry.”

At the AGM, BIMA also elected Adrienne Hintz as Secretary, Nicole Hallett as Treasurer, and Page Rouse and Willian Wood as Vice Presidents.

BIMA grew its membership by 10% over the last year, and now comprises 48 members and associate members representing licensed captive managers, audit firms, law firms, and other service providers in the captive sector.
