Olivia Bishop has been appointed Chief Underwriting Officer, Global Catastrophe, at Bermuda-based reinsurer Partner Re, a role she will hold alongside her current position as SVP, Head of North America Catastrophe.
“As the catastrophe landscape evolves, I’m excited to help drive our underwriting strategy and deliver value to our clients and partners,” Bishop commented.
Adding: “I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute more broadly across our global catastrophe platform while continuing to lead our North America business.”
The executive has been with Partner Re for 16 years, having joined the company in 2010 as an AVP – Underwriter. She was then appointed VP – Senior Underwriter and became Head of Special Catastrophe close to five years after that.
In 2022, Bishop took over the role of SVP, Head of North America Catastrophe, a role she will continue on alongside her new responsibilities.
