The supervisory bodies of Deutsche Rückversicherung AG and the Association of German Public Insurers have announced the appointment of Achim Bosch to the executive board of the two reinsurance companies, taking responsibility for non-life reinsurance operations.
Bosch joins from reinsurer General Reinsurance AG in Cologne, and will take up the position as Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) for Deutsche Rück and the reinsurance division of the Association of German Public Insurers from January 1st, 2019.
At General Reinsurance AG in Cologne, Bosch was a member of the board of executives and was most recently in charge of non-life contractual reinsurance in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Central and Europe since 2008. Since 2017, Bosch has also been in charge of facultative business in these markets.
Dr Frank Walthes, Chairman of Deutsche Rück’s Supervisory Board, said: “We’re pleased to have gained an experienced specialist for this responsible position in our companies. Mr Bosch has excellent knowledge and his qualifications are the ideal match for the remit we have outlined.”
