Reinsurance broker Gallagher Re has announced that Brian Flasinski will take over as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the North America region from June 1st, 2024, succeeding Jim Bradshaw.
Gallagher Re announced Flasinski’s new role back in March, and also revealed that Bradshaw would transition to the role of Chairman, Gallagher Re North America, which is also effective June 1st, 2024.
Bradshaw is moving into the new position to replace Tom Wafer, who retires on May 31st, 2024. He joined Gallagher Re as CEO of the North American region in 2021 with the acquisition of Willis Re.
Flasinski joined Gallagher Re in 2015 and has previously served as the Executive Vice President and North American Sales Leader.
Before Gallagher Re, Flasinski served as Senior Vice President with Guy Carpenter for nine years.
This news follows a successful transition period since Flasinski’s and Bradshaw’s new appointments were publicly announced on March 18, 2024.
Commenting on the transition back in March, Gallagher Re CEO Tom Wakefield said: “Gallagher Re North America is a story of continuing success built on an unwavering focus on our clients. I am confident we will quickly build upon our accomplishments and continue to accelerate our growth.
“Jim’s leadership helped us navigate through the Willis Re acquisition and achieve remarkable growth during his tenure. I am grateful for his continued support, guidance and counsel during the transition and beyond.”
