Brit Ltd., a global specialty re/insurer and subsidiary of FairFax Financial Holdings Limited, has announced that Christiern Dart has decided to step down from his position as Group Chief Underwriting Officer.
During a period of transition, Dart will complete a regulatory handover. Jon Sullivan, currently Deputy Group Chief Underwriting Officer & Active Underwriter for Syndicate 2987, will take the role of Group Chief Underwriting Officer, subject to regulatory approval.
Dart has decided that now is the right time to take his career in a different direction, Brit stated in a recent announcement, and thanked him for his commitment and dedication to the company.
Dart joined Brit in 2006 and performed various roles throughout his 17 years with the company. Dart started at Brit as an underwriter and then took on the position of Divisional Director for Property Facilities in 2010.
In December 2014 he was promoted to Deputy Active Underwriter and in 2016 he was promoted to Chief Underwriting Officer for the Group. Prior to Brit he held a number of positions with insurance companies including Liberty Syndicates.
