Brit Global Specialty USA (BGSU), a division of global specialty re/insurer Brit Ltd, has announced the appointment of Andrew Umphress as Vice President, Terrorism.
Umphress joins from Validus Specialty where he was most recently Assistant Vice President, War and Terrorism.
He previously held a number of underwriting roles during his time at Validus.
In his new role, Umphress will work closely with Brit’s existing War and Terrorism team in London to develop BGSU’s new US based offering.
He will be based in New York and report to Sara Scott, Underwriting Director at BGSU.
