Global specialty re/insurer Brit Ltd. has announced the promotion of Marie Hill to the position of Group Head of Claims.
In this role, Hill will be responsible for leading Brit’s global claims practice and managing the team that services Lloyd’s Syndicates 2987, 2988, and 1618 (Ki).
Hill has worked in the London Market for over 20 years, having served in both claims and underwriting roles. She joined Brit in 2014 as Deputy Group Head of Claims before her recent promotion.
Hill will continue to report to Sheel Sawhney, Brit’s Group Chief Operations Officer.

She brings an excellent track record for complex case management and market leadership, which will further strengthen our recent achievements in claims technology and innovation designed to help customers when they need us the most,” Sawhney commented.

Marie is also a strong contributor to D&I and mentoring initiatives, both within Brit and in the wider market, and will help us retain, develop and attract outstanding claims talent,” Sawhney added.
