Brown & Brown acquires Rodman Insurance Agency

Insurance brokerage Brown & Brown, Inc. has announced that it has acquired substantially all of the assets of Rodman Insurance Agency, Inc., a specialist provider of property and casualty insurance solutions and services to the commercial sector.

Brown & Brown LogoThe deal was announced by Brown and Brown’s Chief Acquisitions Officer, Scott Penny, and Andrew Altman, Jeffrey Grosser, James Rodman, James Stoller, and Evan Tobasky, the shareholders of Rodman Insurance Agency.

Rodman Insurance has roots that date back as far as 1935, and has annual revenues of $9.5 million, primarily supporting clients in Massachusetts and throughout the Northeast.

Once the deal is completed, Rodman Insurance’s team will continue to operate from its existing Needham, Massachusetts office, under the leadership of Andy Altman, who said: “The Rodman team is thrilled to become a part of Brown & Brown. Being part of a larger organization will give our clients access to a broader array of resources while continuing to work with the same service team they know and trust.”
