Liberty Mutual Insurance subsidiary, Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), has announced the hiring of Bruce Love from Munich Re as Director, Assumed Reinsurance, Casualty Treaty, based in the firm’s Stamford, Connecticut office.
Love will report to Thomas Greene, the company’s Head of Casualty, Reinsurance, and will have responsibility for production, underwriting and servicing both casualty and professional liability treaty reinsurance accounts.
He joins LSM from reinsurance giant Munich Re, where he was Vice President (VP) for two years. Love started his re/insurance career with National Re in 1989, and has since held a number of roles with Genesis Underwriting Managers, part of General Re, Discover Re, Employers Re, and also more than a decade with Transatlantic Reinsurance Company.
