Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, the commercial direct risk underwriting arm of Swiss Re, has appointed Lisa Butera as Head Financial & Professional Lines (FinPro) and Casualty North America.
Starting her new role on July 17, Butera will also join the North America Regional Management team to drive strategic direction across the region, which encompasses the US and Canada.
She will be based in New York City and report to Katie McGrath, CEO North America, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, who commented: “I am confident that Lisa’s expertise and experience will allow us to continue to deliver on and strengthen our FinPro and Casualty offering to our customers. We are thrilled to have someone of her calibre step into this role.”
Butera brings over thirty years of leadership experience in the insurance and reinsurance space – particularly in FinPro lines – to her new role.
She has most recently served as Head P&C Clients Markets US in the Reinsurance division at Swiss Re. Prior to that, she held several leadership positions at AIG.
