Canada Life Reinsurance, a provider of reinsurance solutions, has promoted Eamon Loughnane to Senior Vice President (SVP), Head of P&C – Global Markets.
Loughnane initially assumed the leadership of the company’s P&C Global Markets business in 2025, succeeding Gabriel Kelly, who retired after 33 years of dedicated service.
This appointment followed Loughnane’s successful period leading Canada Life Re’s Life Reinsurance business across EMEA and APAC.
During this tenure, he achieved robust growth and excellent underwriting results, as noted by Chief Operating Officer, Derek Popkes.
“This promotion recognises Eamon’s track record of disciplined execution and his commitment to developing innovative solutions that help our clients manage risk and capital,” Popkes added.
