Arno Junke, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of German reinsurer Deutsche Rückversicherung AG and the Association of German Public Insurers (VöV), has retired from his positions, effective December 31st, 2017.
An announcement reveals that Junke and the companies’ supervisory bodies have reached an agreement to terminate their collaboration after almost ten years.
Junke joined the firm in September of 2008, and remains available to the firms in a consulting role.
The companies have said that until further notice, the position of CEO will remain vacant.
