CG Re appoints Ramanuj Seegoolam to London broking team

African reinsurer CG Re Group has announced the appointment of Ramanuj Seegoolam to its broking team in the London office.

cg-re-londonThe CG Re Group announced the opening of its London office in July 2024, as part of the company’s expansion strategy to become an international and global reinsurance broker.

In his new role, Seegoolam will be responsible for facultative reinsurance placements into the Lloyd’s syndicate, as well as London and international markets.

He brings extensive experience in facultative reinsurance placement, particularly across the African, Middle Eastern, and Asian regions, spanning multiple lines of business.

Over the last few years, Seegoolam has contributed to CG Re Group’s growth by delivering fit-for-purpose solutions to clients.

Jean Claude Lam Hung, CEO of the CG Re Group, commented, “I am convinced that Ramanuj will play a key role in our future growth journey. His understanding of the local nuances and dynamics of the African, Middle Eastern and Asian markets and the expectations of clients in those regions is a key asset.
