Bermuda-based global reinsurance group Everest has appointed Peter Chalkias as Australia Country Head and Chief Financial Officer.
Chalkias brings a wealth of insurance industry industry experience to his new position. His professional background includes deep expertise in financial risk, risk management, accounting, financial planning, and business process improvement.
He initially joined Everest Australia in 2013 as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to this, he had spent close to 13 years working with the global insurer Chubb where he served as Head of External Reporting following his position as Head of External Reporting & Finance Operations.
Throughout his career, Chalkias also spent 12 years at Combined Insurance, a Chubb Benefits Company.
Chalkias is one of Everest’s most recent appointments, following industry veteran Lisa Davis’ as Head of North America, Wholesale & Specialty in early May.
In her new position at Everest, Davis will oversee the Company’s North America Wholesale & Specialty operations, including underwriting direction, distribution oversight and portfolio management across the region.
