Global speciality re/insurance group Chaucer has appointed Les Loh as Chief Executive Officer, Singapore, subject to regulatory approval, and Dan Bryan as Head of Reinsurance Asia Pacific, reporting to Loh.
Loh will assume his role on 2 March 2026, while Bryan will start in Q2 2026.
Loh joins Chaucer from Guy Carpenter, where he held the role of CEO of Southeast Asia and Korea.
In his new role, Loh will report to Angus Milgate, Global Head of Distribution, succeeding Margaret To, who will transition to a consultancy role.
He holds more than 27 years of experience across broking and underwriting, having served in roles at AXIS Capital, notably as president, APAC, and Benfield, as a senior broker.
Meanwhile, Bryan has more than two decades of experience and joins from AXA XL Re, where he was head of Asia, Reinsurance.
Before this, Bryan spent time at Aspen Insurance Group as head of property reinsurance and at Guy Carpenter as senior vice president.
In his new role at Chaucer, he will be responsible for the oversight of the firm’s APAC reinsurance operation as it looks to strengthen its offering in the region.
Richard Milner, CEO of Chaucer, commented, “Chaucer places great importance on the APAC market and is committed to attracting talent with deep regional expertise and diverse experience to best support our clients.
“We are delighted to welcome Les and Dan to the team in Singapore. Their appointments strengthen Chaucer’s capabilities as we look ahead to the next phase of our growth.
“We would also like to thank Margaret for her outstanding contribution over the last 17 years. Her experience and expertise as a consultant will prove to be a tremendous resource for Les as he steps into the leadership role.”
