Specialty re/insurance group Chaucer appointed Andrew Pearce as an Independent Non-Executive Director on the CSL Board.
Pearce will also serve on the Audit Committee, Risk and Capital Committee, and Remuneration and Nominations Committee. The necessary regulatory formalities have been completed to support his appointment.
Pearce previously served as Managing Director at Accenture from 2007 until June 2023. With a strong background in application development and delivery, he has worked across various sectors, including Telco, Finance, Defence, and Government.
Pearce has also led multinational programs in outsourcing and IT transformation, making him a valuable addition to Chaucer.
Before his tenure at Accenture, Andrew served as an officer in the Royal Air Force (RAF) for sixteen years. His final posting was as the Deputy Head of IT / CIS Services at the Joint Services Command and Staff College, where he was responsible for the design, development, and implementation of an extensive modernisation program.
Commenting on the appointment, Paul Jardine, the non-Executive Chairman of Chaucer, expressed his delight and said, “John Fowle, the directors, and I are delighted to welcome Andrew to the Board.”
“His lengthy experience advising senior management at some of the biggest global businesses on complex projects will bring an added level of expertise to Chaucer. His insight into inclusion and diversity initiatives will also be very valuable as we look to further build on our programmes in this area,” Jardine added.
“Chaucer is a highly respected (re)insurance group with a strong reputation for its underwriting culture, the quality of its people and its commitment to brokers and clients around the world. I look forward to working with the Board and contributing to the success of the business,” Pearce said.
