AXIS Capital Holdings subsidiary, AXIS Insurance, has named Christina Tom Vice President, Renewable Energy Underwriter, based in San Francisco.
Tom joins the firm from Aspen Insurance, and brings experience and expertise in the wind, solar and energy storage risk sector. In her new role she will be responsible for AXIS Insurance’s global Renewable Energy unit, and will lead its west coast operations.
She will report to Tom Cain, Vice President and Head of U.S. Renewable Energy, AXIS Insurance.
Cain, said; “We are seeing strong momentum building behind our U.S. Renewable Energy business, and Christina’s appointment is a key step as we expand our footprint to the West Coast, a booming renewable energy market.
“Christina is a true expert in the Renewables space, and her leadership will be invaluable as we enhance our offerings in such categories as wind, solar and energy storage risks.”
For the last five years, Tom was Vice President of Inland Marine at Aspen Insurance, and before this she was a Senior Underwriter in Inland Marine and Commercial Insurance. She started her career in the specialty sector in 2003 at Chubb.
