Japanese specialist reinsurer, Sompo Canopius Re, has appointed Christopher Gray as its new head of Protection & Indemnity (P&I) reinsurance.
Joining from reinsurance giant Swiss Re, Gray will take up his new role immediately, and report to Andy Gladwin, global head of marine treaty.

Specialist reinsurer Sompo Canopius Re is one of the key players in the worldwide marine and specialty treaty market, writing through London, Singapore and Zurich; as new head of P&I reinsurance, Gladwin will be responsible for developing a portfolio that adds diversification and complements the firm’s current account.
