Property and casualty (P&C) insurer Chubb has announced the appointment of Mikko Ronikonmäki as Commercial Lines Manager for Finland, effective August 12, 2024.
Based in Helsinki and Ronikonmäki will be responsible for Chubb’s commercial lines operations across both Finland and Estonia.
He will report to Anna Källs, Country Manager for Sweden and Finland, who commented: “I am delighted that Mikko is joining Chubb to take up this important role. He brings with him a wealth of insights both from the perspective of insurer and clients.
“Mikko has an exceptional network of contacts, great leadership skills and strong market knowledge. This hire allows us to develop further our strategy for growth in Finland and Estonia, and we are very much looking forward to working with him.”
With over 25 years of experience in the finance industry, Ronikonmäki is joining Chubb from LocalTapiola, where he served as Director, Head of Industry, Energy and Renewable Energy, and Customer Relationship Director for Major Corporate Clients since 2019.
During this time, he led a team of specialists providing commercial non-life and life insurance and risk solutions to middle-market and large corporates in the manufacturing industry, energy, and renewable energy sectors, with a focus on green transition initiatives.
Chubb has also recently announced the appointment of Robin Roos as Technology and Climate Tech Industry Practice Leader for the firm’s Northern Europe Region.
Roos joined the company from American International Group’s (AIG) and is expected to lead Chubb’s multi-line proposition for Technology clients as well as the company’s proposition for Climate Tech clients.
