Cisco, Apple, Aon and Allianz have collaborated to launch a new cyber risk management solution for businesses which combines cyber resilience evaluation services from Aon, the most secure technology from Cisco and Apple, and options for enhanced cyber insurance cover from Allianz.
The new solution is designed to improve firms’ management and protection from cyber risk associated with ransom-ware and other malware-related threats, which are the most common threats faced by organisations today.
Low adoption of cyber insurance combined with a fragmented security technology market and a security skills shortage means it is difficult for many organisations to understand and manage this risk effectively.
The integrated cyber solution aims to cover the most important needs of cyber protection for businesses: Aon cyber security professionals will offer cyber resilience evaluation by assessing clients’ cyber security standing and recommending cyber security defence improvements.
Allianz evaluated the Cisco and Apple technical foundation of the solution and found that customers using Cisco Ransomware Defense, and/or qualified Apple products can be eligible for the enhanced cyber insurance offering, due to the high level of security afforded to businesses by Cisco and Apple technology.
Enhancements include market-leading policy coverage terms and conditions, including potentially qualifying for lower, or even no, deductibles in certain cases; the cyber insurance coverage is underwritten by Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS).
