Clear Blue Insurance Group, a US fronting insurance carrier specialising in program business, has appointed Miles Allkins as Executive Vice President (EVP), Chief Risk Officer.
In this role, Allkins will lead enterprise risk, pricing governance, capital modelling, actuarial work, and analytics across a multi-line property and casualty platform.
He will be focused on aligning underwriting with disciplined capital deployment, strengthening regulatory and rating agency engagement, and building analytically driven infrastructure to support sustainable program growth.
Allkins is a seasoned actuarial and insurance executive with leadership experience spanning enterprise risk management, underwriting, capital strategy, and reinsurance across U.S. and international markets.
Most recently, he served as Co-Founder and Chief Risk Officer at Emerald Bay Risk Solutions. Prior to that, he was Chief Underwriting Officer at Spinnaker Insurance Company and was also Co-Founder and COO/CRO of 3P Risk Strategies.
Earlier in his career, Allkins held senior actuarial roles at Verisk Extreme Event Solutions (formerly AIR Worldwide) and Axis Capital.
In a recent LinkedIn post, Allkins said, “From our very first conversation, it was evident that Jerome Breslin and the team have built a resilient, capital-disciplined platform centred on long-term partnerships and sustainable growth. Just as importantly, there is a culture grounded in trust, collaboration, and a genuine commitment to continuous improvement.
“Clear Blue’s ability to align underwriting execution with capital strategy is a true differentiator. I’m excited to help further strengthen our enterprise risk, pricing, and capital capabilities as we continue to diversify and grow the portfolio.”
