CNA Hardy has continued its expansion into the Asian market by obtaining enhanced licensing capabilities in Labuan, Malaysia, which will allow it to better transact business in the region.

It will also look to develop new lines of business as its Asia-Pacific operations expand further and as its experience in the market deepens.

Rob Hands, CNA Hardy’s Principal Officer in Asia, said: “This is an incredibly exciting time in the expansion of our business across Asia. Having a presence in this international business and financial centre enables us to lay solid foundations for enduring relationships with our global clients and producers through an enhanced product and service offering.”

Dave Brosnan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CNA Hardy added: “Obtaining an enhanced licence to do business in Labuan is the most recent development in our ongoing strategy to build out our presence in Asia … Asia is a strategic market for CNA Hardy and we are very pleased with how our business is developing here.”

Last year, the company expanded its hub in Singapore with products and capabilities related to Healthcare, Life Science and Financial Lines, and it has been attracting talent to the organisation through new and existing lines, and through claims.

CNA Hardy is a specialist commercial re/insurance provider for clients within the Lloyd’s and company markets, and has been part of the Lloyd’s China platform since 2016.
