CNA Hardy makes several senior appointments within UK Marine team

CNA Hardy, a specialist commercial insurance provider within the Lloyd’s and company markets, has made three new senior underwriter appointments and a senior underwriter internal promotion to its UK Marine team.

Trevor McAuley has been appointed as Senior Marine Underwriter, he will be based in Glasgow.

In this role, McAuley’s remit will include being responsible for Marine Cargo and Transport & Logistics underwriting for Scotland & Ireland. He will also engage in Marine Equipment and Subsea underwriting for the UK company business.

McAuley brings three decades of insurance experience. His other roles have been at industry giants like Allianz, XL Catlin, RSA, and Tokio Marine.

Subsequently, Conlie Wong has been appointed as Senior Underwriter, Marine Cargo and Transport & Logistics. She will be based in Manchester, and will be being responsible for Marine Cargo and Transport & Logistics renewal underwriting. Wong also has three decades worth of insurance experience including roles at Tokio Marine, and Catlin.

Hugh Consitt joins CNA from Chubb and will serve as the Senior Marine Development Underwriter, based in Manchester. Consitt will be responsible for new business development in the North of England for the Marine Cargo business. Consitt spent eight years as Regional Senior Cargo Underwriter at Chubb.

Additionally, Michael Slack has been promoted to the role of Senior Technical Underwriter for the Transport & Logistics business in the UK. Slack is based in Manchester and joined CNA Hardy in 2014.
