Compre Group Holdings Limited (Compre), a Bermuda-domiciled international specialty reinsurance group, has announced the appointment of Graham Taylor as managing director of underwriting, effective immediately.
In the role, Taylor will report to Chief Underwriting Officer Rachel Bardon and will play a key part in leading the group’s retrospective reinsurance activities, overseeing the execution of new transactions across its portfolio.
Taylor joins David Quinn and Zameer Mitha as part of the company’s senior underwriting leadership team, further strengthening its capital solutions platform.
He brings more than 20 years of experience in legacy and transactional business. He joins the company from Catalina Re, where he served as Head of M&A and was involved in the company’s global expansion and subsequent restructuring.
During his time there, Compre said he completed major corporate transactions and reinsurance deals, including high-value acquisitions and disposals. Before joining Catalina Re, Taylor spent nearly 15 years at Enstar Group, most recently as Senior Vice President, M&A. Compre said he led a wide range of transactions across international markets, supporting the company’s strategic growth objectives.
Bardon added: “We are delighted to welcome Graham to Compre. He brings a strong track record in deal origination and execution, which will be invaluable as we continue to grow our underwriting platform and broader proposition. Graham’s extensive experience and commercial acumen will further strengthen our ability to deliver high-quality solutions for our clients.”
Commenting on his appointment, Taylor said: “I’m extremely pleased to join Compre, with its long history of innovation and at such an exciting time in company’s development. While focused on retrospective business – traditional legacy transactions – I will also support Compre’s work in meeting demand for capital-optimisation-focused reinsurance solutions and very much look forward to working with Rachel and the team.”
