Consilium appoints Richard Ellis as Associate Partner

Aventum Group’s global speciality re/insurance broking business, Consilium, has announced the appointment of Richard Ellis as Associate Partner, placing specialist and complex property risks.

consilium-logo-newEllis is a market veteran with over 38 years of industry experience in retail and wholesale property and liability experience.

In the new role at Consilium, Ellis’ remit will include playing a key role in assisting brokers and their clients with placing specialist property and commercial combined policies.

Most recently, Ellis served at Citynet Insurance Brokers, where he was a senior broker in their property and casualty team. He also has experience with placing terrorism, high-net-worth, and contingency risks.

Ellis has previously held senior broker roles at a number of leading brokers including Tasker & Partners, Senior Wright Ltd, CBC UK and Jelf.

Ellis brings with him a strong underwriter and broker following, operating in both the London and Company Markets and extensive expertise in complex and non-standard property placements.
