Cowbell Cyber has hired Matthew Jones as its new chief strategy officer, while simultaneously appointing Sean Park to its board of directors.
The firm said that Jones is joining the firm from Anthemis, where he was managing director after a stint at Swiss Re. Park, a co-founder and co-CIO of Anthemis Group, currently serves on a number of boards.
Jack Kudale, founder and CEO at Cowbell, said: “Matthew Jones and Sean Park are both accomplished executives with deep experience shepherding complex insurance operations. As more organizations turn to cyber insurance to protect against increasing risk, their expertise will ensure that Cowbell remains at the forefront of innovation and continues to provide the most accurate insurance coverages to best support our policyholders.”
Cowbell has made other senior hires in recent weeks. In the middle of August, the firm announced that Julia Cederroth had come onboard as senior director of reinsurance.
Cerderroth joined the firm from Gallagher Re, before which she had acted as associate director at Aon Reinsurance Solutions and senior consultant at Aon Inpoint, where she became a trusted strategic advisor to a diverse range of carrier clients.
Jones and Park join the Cowbell team following a recent slew of strategic initiatives.
In August 2022, Cowbell announced a partnership with Swiss Re to provide cyber insurance coverage to enterprises that are building their digital footprint on Amazon Web Services.
Cowbell also recently announced the launch of its product on the Amwins Professional Lines portal, successfully broadening agents’ and brokers’ access to cyber insurance solutions for their clients while enabling immediate risk assessment and rapid, precise underwriting decisions for Amwins retail agents.
The firm also announced in July that it was partnering with Palomar on reinsurance capacity. That agreement brought Cowbell’s total global reinsurance panel to 9 providers – including Cowbell Re.
