CRC Group, a specialty insurance distributor, has announced the appointment of experienced insurance and reinsurance professional, Bethany Greenwood, as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its Underwriting Division.
Greenwood joins the role with more than 25 years of leadership experience across the specialty insurance sector, covering brokerage, underwriting and executive management.
She was most recently based in London and is relocating to the United States. Greenwood joins CRC Group after nearly seven years at Beazley, where she most recently held the role of Head of Specialty Risks. In this capacity, she led the expansion of specialty product offerings, supported innovation, strengthened relationships with trading partners, and delivered profitable growth across a diverse portfolio.
Before joining Beazley, Greenwood spent more than 18 years at broking group Marsh in a range of senior leadership roles. Earlier in her career, she worked at re/insurance broker Aon for over three years.
Throughout her career, she has built extensive expertise in specialty lines, leading high-performing teams and supporting growth across complex insurance organisations.
CRC Group stated that Greenwood’s appointment comes during a period of continued growth and investment within its underwriting platform. The company has expanded its capabilities in recent years through a series of acquisitions and investments, increasing its product range, geographical footprint and market presence.
The CRC Group underwriting division currently includes Starwind Specialty, AmRisc, Atrium and Euclid Transactional. The division provides specialised solutions across nine countries, covering property, casualty, transactional liability and other specialty lines. CRC Group said Greenwood will oversee the ongoing development of these businesses while advancing the company’s long-term specialty underwriting strategy.
