CRC Group, a North American wholesale specialty insurance distributor, has appointed Vince Colosimo as Executive Vice President in the company’s New York City Downtown office.

The firm also announced that Colosimo will assume the role of Office President in mid-2025, with current Office President Fred Curatolo taking on a newly created role as Office Chairman.

Brent Tredway, president of CRC’s Brokerage Division, said: “CRC has always had a strong casualty team in New York led by Fred Curatolo. The addition of Vince will help us ensure we continue to build on Manhattan’s success for many years to come.

“We are adding talent nationwide. We welcomed a record number of new producers to CRC last year, and we are off to a very strong start in 2024.”

Colosimo is joining the CRC Group from Markel, where he most recently served as Executive Vice President. He joined Markel 2012 as Territory Underwriter Manager, in 2014 he was appointed Managing Director-Construction Practice Leader.

During this time, Colosimo focused on construction product line growth across all lines for a large specialty insurer’s retail and wholesale channels.

“As an elite construction specialist, Vince’s industry relationships and expertise make him a fantastic addition to our office and a resource for all of CRC Group’s construction focused teams,” said Curatolo.

Adding: “Vince couldn’t be a better fit, and I’m excited to have him working alongside us as we continue to expand our presence in New York and in the construction space nationally.”

Commenting on his appointment, Colosimo said: “I’m thrilled to embark on this new journey with Team CRC. The opportunity to continue building the flagship NYC office alongside their exceptional team is exciting.

“I look forward to working together to achieve new growth and recruit the industry’s next generation of outstanding wholesale professionals.”
