Dale Underwriting Partners, the trading name for Dale Managing Agency Limited’s Lloyd’s Syndicate 1729, has announced Ian Bridge’s promotion to Active Underwriter.
Bridge will succeed Dominic Peters, who is stepping down from the role. Since joining Dale in January 2021, Peters has overseen significant growth, with Syndicate 1729 expanding from a £185 million stamp capacity to £350 million. Additionally, Dale Managing Agency Limited received regulatory approval in October 2022, during which Peters served as Active Underwriter and Board Director.
Duncan Dale, Founder and Chief Executive of Dale, expressed his enthusiasm for Bridge’s appointment, stating, “We are delighted that Ian will take on the role of Active Underwriter at Dale.”
He added, “Ian has been with us at Dale for nearly 10 years and his experience in the market will be of great importance for the company as we look to continue to develop and execute our strategic growth plans.”
Bridge, who joined Dale in July 2014, shared his excitement for his new role, saying, “I’m proud to be given the opportunity to be Active Underwriter for Dale at a time of significant development for the company. This is a very exciting time for myself and Dale and I’m looking forward to continuing to help execute on the business’s strategy.”
