Tokio Marine Holdings has announced the appointment of Daljitt Barn from reinsurance giant Munich Re, to the newly created role of Global Head of Cyber Risk.
Based in London, Barn started at Tokio Marine on September 3rd, 2018, and will be responsible for developing the firm’s cyber strategy. Joining from Munich Re, Barn brings a wealth of knowledge, and is expected to assist with cyber risk quantification and control, alongside innovation and partnership opportunities.
Tokio Marine Group Chief Risk Officer (CRO), Kuni Fujii, said: “We are delighted that Daljitt has joined the Tokio Marine Group. Cyber risk presents the insurance industry with both an opportunity and a threat and he will be critical to Tokio Marine as we continue to develop our presence and understanding in this important area.”
While at Munich Re, Barn was key in establishing the cyber team within corporate development, and helped develop a Munich Re-wide cyber community. Prior to Munich Re, Barn was Cyber Director at PwC.
