Bermudian insurer and reinsurer Everest Re Group, Ltd. has announced that Darin Scanzano has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Everest Insurance Company of Canada, effective later this summer.
He will report to David Sandler, Head of the Everest Insurance® Risk Management Group, and will based in the company’s Toronto, Canada office.
Sandler, commented: “We are excited to have Darin join as CEO of Everest Insurance Company of Canada. His depth of experience in the Canadian market, and deep trading relationships developed over his thirty year career in the industry, will help us to continue expanding our Canadian insurance operation.”
Prior to Everest, Scanzano worked for Axis Capital in Toronto as Executive Vice President and Chief Agent, where he was responsible for all Canadian insurance operations.
