David Soutter has joined legacy reinsurance and run-off specialist RiverStone International as Head of Risk, Bermuda.
A re/insurance executive with experience in financial reporting, regulatory reporting, risk management and treasury related matters, Soutter joined RiverStone from Zurich Management (Bermuda), where he most recently served as Project Director.
During this time, he led finance and reinsurance projects related to restructuring activities in the offshore insurance industry.
Before this, Soutter was the Chief Financial Officer of Zurich Insurance Company, Bermuda, for 11 years, a role he was appointed to following his close to nine years as Manager of Finance/Controller at the company.
Commenting on his most recent appointment at RiverStone, Soutter said: “It’s an exciting new chapter, and I’m super happy to be joining such a talented and welcoming team. I’m looking forward to the opportunities ahead and contributing to Riverstone’s continued success.”
