Davies, a specialist professional services and technology business, has announced the acquisition of Matson, Driscoll & Damico (MDD), a prominent international forensic accounting firm.
MDD, renowned for its expertise in assessing economic damages across various sectors including insurance and legal, operates globally with over 330 professionals serving more than 1,000 clients from 40 office locations worldwide.
Under the deal, MDD will integrate into Davies’ Global Solutions division, adding a new global forensic accounting capability.
This division, led by CEO Mark Grocott, encompasses Consulting, Technology, and Insurance Solutions businesses. Paul McGowan, CEO of MDD, will join Grocott’s executive team.
Expressing enthusiasm for the merger, McGowan stated, “MDD is excited to join Davies, where we will continue providing objective expert advice to our clients while benefiting from expanded professional growth opportunities and enhanced capabilities.”
Davies, known for its strong organic growth and strategic M&A initiatives over the past decade, sees the acquisition as a means to offer clients in insurance and highly regulated markets access to leading forensic accounting solutions across five continents.
