Delos Insurance Solutions, a property insurance managing general agent, has made a series of senior leadership changes as it prepares for its next phase of expansion.
The company specialises in home insurance solutions, particularly in markets where many traditional carriers have reduced or withdrawn coverage. By combining proprietary wildfire science with satellite imagery technology, Delos aims to improve insurance availability for homeowners in high-risk areas.
Co-founder Shanna McIntyre is stepping into the role of Chief Strategy Officer, moving on from her previous position as Chief Data Officer. At the same time, Andrew Notohamiprodjo has been promoted from Head of Data to Chief Data Officer. These leadership shifts are intended to back the company’s broader geographic expansion and further strengthen its analytics-led underwriting approach.
The company has also expanded its senior team to bolster distribution, carrier engagement, and regulatory oversight. Valencia Jones joins as Head of Brokerage Distribution from Nationwide, where she most recently held the position of AVP of Sales.
Bringing extensive experience in personal lines sales management and claims, she will lead both field and inside sales teams while overseeing major brokerage and aggregator partnerships, with a focus on increasing production and deepening agent relationships.
Alexandra Howe has been named Director of Carrier and Enterprise Relationships, arriving from Goosehead Insurance, where she served as Carrier Performance Manager. She will be responsible for advancing carrier and large-account relationships, supporting growth initiatives while maintaining alignment with the company’s distribution strategy and profitability objectives.
Lorenzo Houston joins as Compliance Manager following his tenure as Director of Personal Lines at SageSure. With a track record in insurance compliance roles, he will oversee the development and execution of compliance frameworks designed to ensure consistent and efficient regulatory adherence across the business.
Kevin Stein, CEO of Delos Insurance Solutions, said: “Having grown significantly in the past two years with an impressive loss ratio, the outlook for Delos is bright. When Shanna and I founded the company, we wanted to make insurance accessible to people in the wildfire-stressed locations of California, where we both come from. We are now looking to expand further into the western US and beyond.
“We decided the time was right to have a dedicated Chief Strategy Officer, a role Shanna is going to excel at. The influence Andrew has had on our robust science and data driven wildfire risk model is huge. His expertise and drive have been extremely valuable. We fully expect his leadership to further positively influence the company through the Chief Data Officer role.”
“With great people such as Valencia, Lorenzo and Alex also coming on board, I am confident Delos will continue its impressive growth trajectory and accelerate our mission to increase access to insurance in wildfire-stressed areas,” Stein further added.
“Up until now, company strategy has been a part of Kevin and my roles. Now, with the growth we have achieved, and the significant plans we have for further expansion, we have decided a dedicated strategy role was required. I’m looking forward to devoting more time to ensure we sustain our success. The accuracy of our wildfire risk model was further demonstrated by predicting the scope of the LA fires. Added confidence in our model has now accounted for 370,000 of the additional homes eligible for a Delos policy. We want to see this trend continue,” commented McIntyre on her new role.
In addition, Tom Pratt, Head of Public Policy and Government Affairs at Delos, has been appointed to the Legislative Committee of the California Insurance Wholesalers Association, which advocates on behalf of wholesale insurance professionals across the state. He also serves on the Legislative Committee of the Surplus Line Association of California.
The company expects to continue expanding its team throughout 2026 to support its ongoing growth strategy.
