DLA LLC, an internal auditing and accounting advisory service has appointed Paul Higgins as Head of its Insurance Practice.
At the same time, DLA has also announced that Higgins has been named Partner, and that he will lead their Chicago office.
With an impressive career that spans over 27 years, Higgins brings a deep level of leadership and expertise towards his new roles.
In particular, he possesses a specialised focus in insurance, as well as general financial services internal audit work.
DLA noted that Higgins’ arrival will not only strengthen their capabilities within the insurance sector, but it also enriches their capacity to serve clients across the broader financial services industry.
With a proven track record of nurturing local and multinational insurance clients, Higgins’ role will be pivotal in not only leading DLAs Insurance Practice but also in shaping the future of DLA’s Internal Audit group.
Higgins’ distinguished career includes previous roles as Principal and Senior Manager at Ernst & Young (EY), where he was responsible for the development and growth of financial services accounts in banking, insurance, and wealth and asset management.
In addition, he has also previously managed multiple engagements, co-sourced and outsourced internal audit functions, and served as the engagement Lead for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Model Audit Rule program support.
Other career highlights also include a previous stint at Chubb Insurance, leading a team of global professionals supporting ACE Limited’s SOX management team, and his tenure at PWC where he conducted external audits for diverse financial organizations.
