Emmanuel Brulé joins Sompo International as CRO

Emmanuel Brulé has joined property and casualty (P&C) insurer and reinsurer Sompo International as its new Chief Risk Officer (CRO), based in Bermuda.

sompo-international-logoBrulé previously served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sanlam’s Pan Africa General Insurance division, and earlier held the role of Deputy CEO of Saham Finances, part of Saham Group, in Casablanca, Morocco.

Prior to Saham, he worked at EB & Co. in London for six months.

Earlier in his career, Brulé worked at global insurer and reinsurer AIG for over 14 years in various job roles.

These roles include CRO EMEA and Director AIG Europe Holdings Ltd, President Commercial Insurance EMEA, and Senior Vice President, General Manager for Switzerland, among others.

For more than five years, ending in 2011, he worked at global reinsurer SCOR as a Senior Underwriter.

“I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at Sompo International!,” Brulé said on his appointment to the new role.
