Arrow Global Group, the pan-European investment manager focused on private credit and real estate, has appointed Enrico Bertagna as Chief Executive Officer of Arrow MGA Solutions, the managing general agent partnership division within Arrow Global Insurance (AGI).
Arrow Global said the appointment forms part of its strategy to strengthen AGI’s MGA operations and broaden its specialist insurance presence across continental Europe.
Bertagna will oversee Arrow MGA Solutions, which is responsible for establishing and managing MGA partnerships across the business. Arrow Global said the division plays a central role in AGI’s plans to expand its specialist, non-catastrophe insurance offering in markets where underwriting expertise, structured solutions and disciplined capital deployment are essential.
Arrow Global described AGI as a significant element of its wider European investment platform, bringing together underwriting, origination and investment capabilities within a scalable and capital-efficient structure for investors. The company said AGI concentrates on specialist, non-catastrophe insurance segments, including after-the-event insurance, contingent and transactional risks, credit-related risks and surety products, particularly in sectors where traditional insurers may have limited participation.
AGI’s platform includes Toremis Specialty, a managing general agent focused on legal and transactional risks, alongside Halldora Re Ltd, its AM Best A- rated reinsurer backed by institutional capital to provide underwriting capacity.
Bertagna joins from Howden, where he currently serves as Managing Director of Bowood Europe, the broker group’s specialist binding authority and MGA business.
He previously held senior leadership roles at Zurich Insurance Group, including Global Head of MGA Solutions at Zurich Global Ventures and Global Head of the MGA Network. Earlier in his career, he spent more than two decades at Lloyd’s, in a range of European and international market development positions, and also held senior business development roles at Allied World.
