EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants, a national insurance brokerage and consulting firm, has announced a series of leadership appointments, including Thomas O’Neil as Vice Chairman.
Collectively, these appointments are designed to strengthen EPIC’s leadership team and deepen expertise across its core business areas while positioning the organisation for its next phase of growth.

O’Neil will also continue to oversee EPIC’s regional business operations along with responsibilities for AI, technology initiatives, national claims, private client, and wholesale strategy.
Phil Moyles, was appointed Co-President and will oversee financial services, employee benefits, life & executive benefits, the EPIC account retention plan, carrier management and placement strategy, facultative reinsurance investments and the brand ambassador program.
Joining Moyles as Co-President is Gregg Bundschuh, who will lead organic growth, producer recruiting, marketing and brand, sales leadership, employee education, EPIC Specialty Programs & Investments, national programs, risk management services and national specialties.
Frank Mammaro has expanded his Chief Financial Officer responsibilities to the combined chief financial and chief operating officer (CFO/COO) role.
He will add oversight of corporate operations, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), human resources, IT and legal in addition to his current responsibilities for finance and accounting.
Marc Kunney was appointed Chief Client Officer. In this expanded role, he will be responsible for the overall client experience, client retention, service delivery and growth of client relationships across the firm, as well as running the Complex Risk Management business.
Karen Beldy Torborg has expanded her northeast president responsibilities and, as President of all geographic regions reporting to O’Neil, will connect EPIC’s regional operations across risk management, employee benefits, national specialties, private client and the Main Street Marketplace.
Additionally, Louis Oliver was named Managing Director, M&A. In this position, he will lead M&A sourcing and execution across EPIC’s national platform.
By strengthening alignment across specialties, these appointments enable greater collaboration and more streamlined decision-making, EPIC highlighted.
They also fuel EPIC’s ongoing momentum building on strategic acquisitions, investments in key practice areas and leadership appointments that have further strengthened the firm’s capabilities.
