Everest Insurance, the specialty insurance division of Everest Re Group, has appointed David Nikolai as President of its Specialty Insurance Group (SIG).
Everest’s contingency business was unified under the SIG name in June and offers a variety of solutions for event cancellation, non-appearance, and several other customised insurance coverages.
Nikolai will report to Mike Karmilowicz, Senior Vice President, Everest Specialty Underwriter, and is to lead an internal team tasked with “deepening the many relationships among brokers and insureds, and expand the robust SIG product offering.”
Nikolai joins from Marsh & McLennan, where he most recently served as Managing Director and Partnership Leader for the North Central region.
Commenting on his new role, Nikolai said, “I am excited to join such an outstanding and seasoned team of industry professionals.”
