Everest appoints new leader and COO for its Fac & Hybrid Reinsurance business

Bermuda-based Everest Group has strengthened its Global Wholesale & Specialty platform with new roles for Michael Cellura and Trevor Gallagher within its Facultative & Hybrid Reinsurance business.

everest-logo-2024Cellura, who joined the re/insurer in 2022, has been appointed as Head of Everest’s Facultative & Hybrid Reinsurance division. In his new role, Cellura assumes oversight of the company’s global facultative and hybrid reinsurance platform, including underwriting strategy, portfolio management, and regional alignment across the business.

Gallagher joined Everest in 2023, and takes on the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer (COO), Facultative & Hybrid Reinsurance. He will be responsible for operational execution, and platform optimisation, supporting the continued scale and performance of the global business, explains the firm.

Cellura will report to Jason Keen, Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Global Wholesale & Specialty Insurance at Everest, and Gallagher will report to Cellura.
