Everest Group, a Bermuda-based insurance and reinsurance company, has appointed Jason Busti as its new Head of North America Treaty Reinsurance, tasked with leading the treaty reinsurance business across the US, Bermuda, and Canada.
Busti will report to Jill Beggs, Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Reinsurance, and will serve as a key member of her leadership team.
Most recently, he served as President of North America at reinsurer AXIS Re, leading the treaty reinsurance operations across the US, Bermuda, and Canada.
Earlier in his career, he spent over two decades at Swiss Re, one of the world’s largest reinsurers, holding several senior leadership roles, including Managing Director, Client Executive, responsible for leading Client Management and Broker Market Underwriting Teams.
Beggs commented on the appointment, “Jason is a highly respected leader with a deep understanding of the North American reinsurance market and a proven track record of building strong client partnerships.
“His extensive experience managing large treaty portfolios and longstanding relationships with clients and brokers across the industry make him exceptionally well-positioned to lead our North America business.”
