Everest Insurance International, a division of Bermuda-based reinsurer Everest Re, has appointed Martin Leeks to its Syndicate 2786 as a Medical Malpractice and Multi-National/Specialty Underwriter.
Leeks arrives from Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI), where he most recently worked as Head of Casualty – UK & Southern Europe.
He has more than 30 years’ industry experience and has held various underwriting roles at companies such as MS Amlin, Chartis, ACE, Zurich Financial Services, and Eagle Star.
In his new role, Leeks will be responsible for the development of the Medical Malpractice European SME underwriting strategy, while assisting the casualty underwriting team in their portfolio development.
