Everest Insurance, the insurance division of Everest Group, Ltd., has launched a dedicated Private Equity practice, which will expand the organisation’s offerings across property and casualty (P&C) lines to serve the needs of private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies across North America.
The company has hired Dan Reinert as Private Equity Vertical Leader, where he will report to Rob Clark, Head of Everest Specialty Underwriters. As well as, Matt Murray, who has been appointed Head of Private Equity Distribution, where he will oversee the vertical’s sales and distribution efforts
Overall, Reinert brings a deep level of industry and private equity experience to lead Everest Insurance’s dedicated offering, which the firm has confirmed, now includes P&C product capabilities, in addition to existing financial lines and transactional liability offerings.
In his most recent role, Reinert oversaw Private Equity within Everest Specialty Underwriters.
Prior to joining the organisation, Reinert served in a variety of different underwriting and leadership roles at various global insurance carriers where he focused exclusively on financial lines and fund liability.
Meanwhile, in his new role, Everest has confirmed that Murray will serve as the “single point of contact” for clients and brokers, providing them with access to a complete suite of customizable private equity offerings, while also enabling increased speed to market.
Murray joined Everest in 2016, taking on the role of Northeast Region Distribution Leader for North America. In this role, he was able to establish deep relationships with key trading partners.
With nearly 25 years of experience with a large global broker, Murray was most recently a Risk Management Client Executive, where he was responsible for a diverse book of business across the sector.
